About The
STS Institute
The STS Institute was born out of the faithful ministry of our founder, Scott Dawson. In 1987 - at the age of just 19 years old - he founded the Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association. Since then, he has gone on to birth the Strength to Stand student movement. Throughout the many events these ministries have boasted, millions have heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We believe there are more 19-year-olds out there - more young leaders who will go on to see cities and nations transformed, as they move in obedience to the call of God.

The STS Institute offers four unique ministry tracks, ensuring that each student is equipped with the specialized skill set needed to fulfill their equally-unique ministry call.
Even as we offer these four individualized opportunities to learn, we also seek to ensure that every student is given the opportunity to learn about areas outside of their own selected track. Our hope is that this approach equips our students for the multifaceted demands of ministry. Further, we believe that this method will encourage unity and respect among the body of Christ, as each piece performs its purpose and fulfills its role.
Our Campus
Birmingham is our home, and we could not love this city and its people more. Nestled in the middle of Homewood, you’ll find our campus - share with SDEA, and well-equipped to place our students right in the middle of a thriving local ministry.
